  • K-12 curriculum for teachers that covers nine core health topics, 278 lessons that include skills-based student assessment, transparency masters and student handouts.
  • Health lessons resource site for teachers. Subscribe to their free newsletter
  • The Advanced Learning Technology in Education Consortium is one of ten RTECs funded by the U.S. Department of Education (links provided). Each regional site offers a host of helpful teaching tools, and included in some sites are links to various health lessons. The immediate benefit of altec to health teachers is Rubistar, QuizStar, Trackstar, and 4teachers.com also listed at the beginning of our Teaching Tools section.
  • Bills itself as the "premier Web site for health and physical education teachers, parents, and students," offering a number of PreK-12 health lessons.
  • An online website for students from the US Dept. of Health & Human Services. An excellent site for students to work on when they have individual computer time. Includes Cool & UnCool Stuff (health education), Art Contests (yearly contests for students by different national health organizations), and Games (85 game links to a variety of health topics). All links have been deemed suitable for students, proficiency levels vary from elementary to secondary.
